Sharp white veins diagonally cutting across a deep black ground in Alexander Black marble
Marble

Alexander Black

Code · ALB-113

A deep black ground is traversed diagonally by sharp white veins, complemented by subtle grey lines. With its striking contrast, it stands among the most impressive examples of classic black marble.

Alexander Black is quarried around İskenderun and the Amanos Mountains in Hatay, Türkiye. Similar in appearance to Spanish Nero Marquina, it is also known as Hatay Black.

It makes a bold impression in flooring and wall cladding, bathrooms, vanity tops, fireplace surrounds, and furniture surfaces. Being a marble, it is sensitive to acidic substances; regular sealing of the surface is recommended.
